Students have been advised that wording has changed on Student Self-Service (eVision) when asking for emergency contact details.
The University has adopted the term ‘Trusted contacts for emergencies’ and defined who makes a suitable contact, as well as making it clear that ‘emergencies’ includes a mental health crisis. There has been no change to the threshold for contacting a Trusted Contact (it remains when there is a risk of serious harm).
In the event of an emergency, college and Department staff can locate a student’s Trusted Contact for emergencies’ details on eVision via the ‘View Student Emergency Contact Details’ screen.
