Updated guidance on international travel

Following the change to UK Government restrictions on 17 May, international travel is permitted for University business, but only where the Head of Department  / Faculty Board Chair (HoD / FBC) considers it to be exceptional in nature and for an essential purpose, and where alternative approaches have been exhausted.

For taught students, this means that international travel may only be permitted for an essential part of a programme that would be difficult to deliver without some overseas study.

Full details of the new arrangements are set out on the Safety Office website. This includes an updated mandatory COVID-19 risk assessment template and an updated HoD/FBC travel approval framework.
