Updated COVID-19 advice for students and staff

COVID-19 case numbers across Oxford remain very high, and those in the city are being asked to take additional action:

Testing

Everyone aged 18-29 in Oxford, is being asked to get a PCR test, even if they don’t have symptoms, with three new mobile NHS units now open across Oxford.

Vaccination

All students and staff aged 18-29 are encouraged to get vaccinated as soon as possible. The University’s temporary vaccination centres will continue to operate, this week at the Iffley Road Sports Centre and at Ewert House in Summertown.

Travel

Everyone being cautious about non-essential travel in and out of the city to help stop the spread of the virus. For students, returning home from university would be considered ‘essential’; and the new guidance does not prevent staff from travelling to work where they have good reason to do so.

More information has now been published on health and student pages of the University coronavirus website.
