Updated advice for staff and students who are clinically extremely vulnerable

Those who are identified as clinically extremely vulnerable, should have received a letter from the Government advising them that from 1 April, they no longer need to shield. From that date, they can follow the national restrictions alongside the rest of the population, but are still advised to take extra precautions to keep themselves safe from COVID-19. The University continues to provide COVID-secure on-site working, as well as teaching environments for those students who are due to join in-person teaching. Students have been advised via today's Student News that if they have any concerns, they should speak to their GP in the first instance. Support is available for staff from the Occupational Health website.
