The University has confirmed that regular asymptomatic testing will be in place from 12 April for students, as well as staff working on-site. Students and staff will be able to access these tests through several dedicated testing sites around Oxford.
If students are permitted to return to Oxford for Trinity term, they will still be asked to pick up two tests from their college on arrival for self-testing, as previously communicated. After those two initial tests, they will be asked to attend testing sites twice a week for on-going asymptomatic testing. Full details will follow in the near future.
The regular testing will coincide with the University’s move to Stage 2 of its business continuity planning (BCP) framework – with more staff working on site and teaching taking place both online and in-person.
