Over 600 eligible applications were received for the University's 2022 graduate access programmes for UK students from under-represented and disadvantaged groups. Over 130 students have accepted their offer of an internship, with the programme almost doubling in size since 2021. The majority of these fully paid internships, with projects across the four divisions, last six weeks from the beginning of July to mid-August, and 12 internships will last an additional four weeks until mid-September. In addition to regular supervision from academic staff and training in key research skills, as well as mentoring and support by dedicated DPhil students, students will receive information on graduate study and take part in social activities to introduce them to our community and some of the University's famous traditions and locations.
