The UNIQ+ and Wellcome Biomedical Vacation Scholarships (BVS) internships started on Monday 4 July. These internships will run until mid-August, with some students working on DeepMind-funded projects until early September. This year, the programmes will provide 132 students selected from over 650 applicants with in-person postgraduate research experience through a fully-paid internship. Following a week of training in key research skills, interns will take part in projects in more than 35 departments spread across all four academic divisions with regular support and supervision from over 90 members of academic staff. Accommodation has been provided by ten colleges with a further seven college hosting events.
