CARE: Consideration And respect for Room-based Exams

A new communications campaign has launched, encouraging staff and students to be considerate and respectful this term to support students taking online exams in their rooms. There will be more than 40,000 exam sittings across the University, many of which will be taking place in college rooms and other locations. The communications encourage members of the community to be as quiet as possible in all parts of colleges and other areas on weekdays from 9am to 6pm until Friday 26 June. Minor noise and distractions won’t usually be regarded as grounds for mitigating circumstances applications. However, if there are exceptional circumstances (such as unavoidable building work), students may be supported in finding alternative locations to take their exams.  Find out more on the new CARE webpage.
