The Bodleian Libraries has made a number of changes to its services, in light of the latest Government guidance.
The libraries will continue to focus on remote services, and the physical reading rooms in the Old Bodleian and Cairns Library will continue to be open. However, the Sackler Library, Social Science Library and Vere Harmsworth Library/Radcliffe Science Library reading rooms will close from today (Monday 18 January).
This decision will be reviewed on a regular basis, and it is hoped that access to physical library space can be extended later in Hilary Term.
The Bodleian continues to be committed to supporting the academic community, but readers are asked to use its low- and zero-contact services wherever possible.
The Bodleian continues to be committed to supporting staff and students, but readers are asked to use the low and zero-contact services wherever possible, and only use the reading rooms if you are unable to access learning materials remotely, or have difficulties studying elsewhere.
Students have been reminded via today's Student News that they should only use physical libraries after they have received their first negative Lateral Flow Device test result.
