Astrophoria Foundation Year Student Systems update

Throughout the 2022-23 academic year, an IT services project has been running to assess the impact and manage the changes required to add Astrophoria Foundation Year students to existing courses, ahead of them starting this September.

Thank you to all staff involved in the consultation and implementation so far. Participating courses and colleges will be aware that these students will start to appear within various systems used to manage student data (e.g. SITS). Other users of these systems may also have visibility of these students, who are denoted as being Year 0 with ‘Point of Entry’ as 0. In addition, the ‘Foundation Year within Oxford University Department of Continuing Education’ will appear as a co-owning department on the applicable courses. 

Those who will be directly impacted by this change are likely to have already been in consultation with the team, and further direct communication will take place in the coming weeks.In the meantime, please direct any questions to foundationyear.admin@admin.ox.ac.uk
